Obesity affects one million adults in Portugal
Data reveal the high prevalence of obesity in Portuguese society, which continues to be probably one of the biggest public health problems in Portugal.

Excessive intake of energy, particularly from animal fat, excessive salt intake and growth of protein intake and total fat nutritional problems are central in the national population - is crucial that there is a "wide linkage" between other sectors such as agriculture, industry, environment, education, transportation, national security and urban planning, to enable availability of food of good nutritional quality by all citizens.
